For the examination the following things should be noted

  • the students are allowed to bring 10 DIN A4 pages, handwritten one side (5 pages double sided), to support the problem solution.
  • Writing is only allowed with a ball pen, felt tip pen or other media which can not be erased.
  • Red color pens must not be used.
  • A scientific, non programmable calculator
  • a ruler

Paper for writing the problem results will be handed out by CNI

Credits

The successful passing of the final examination will be rewarded by 6 ECTS credits. The examination may be taken if the candidate has either

  • handed in two of the special assignments and got rewarded more than 50% of the marks each
  • has collected more than 50% of the marks of all assignments.

Mission

After attendance at the lecture Computer Systems the student should have a basic understanding of the structure of typical computer systems. Therefore he should be able to take part in the selection and evaluation of computer systems to be used in common scientific and engineering applications.
