Items, that are essential for daily research and teaching, such as drafts of cases for communication technologies as well as retainers or prototypes, are produced at the CNI-internal MakerSpace. This way, students and staff members of the institute are able to realize blueprints of new communication components immediately.

The CNI MakerSpace disposes of three 3D printers, which operate on the Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) principle, as well as of a stereolithography-based (SLA) printer. Due to the different printing techniques, complex geometries and varying materials can be handled.
